Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data esimrails collects when you use the site or buy a plan, why, and what your choices are.
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is {legal name}, {address}.
What we collect
- Order details: your email address, the plans you bought, the amount and currency, your country, and the tax rate and amount applied.
- Your eSIM: the identifiers of the eSIM we supply to you and its status and data use, so we can show it on your order page and in your account, and support you.
- Account details: your email address and sign-in information, if you create an account.
- Support messages: what you write to us in a support ticket.
- Payment: our payment provider collects your payment details. We receive confirmation that you paid, not your full card number.
- Technical data: the pages you visit and your device and browser type, in aggregate form, through analytics that do not use cookies.
- Your country: a country taken from your IP address when you visit, used only to choose which currency to show first.
Why we use it
We use your data to take payment and deliver your eSIM, to show your orders, to answer your support requests, to meet tax and legal duties, and to keep the site secure. Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it.
Who receives it
We share data only with the services that help us run the store: a payment provider, the supplier of the eSIM plans, our hosting and database providers, an email provider and cookieless site analytics. They process data on our behalf and only for those purposes. Some of them may process data outside your country. Where the law requires safeguards for that, we rely on them.
Cookies and storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics do not set cookies. We use only what the site needs to work: a sign-in session if you have an account, your currency choice if you make one, and your cart, which is kept in your browser's local storage.
How long we keep it
We keep order and tax records for as long as the law requires, and other data only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. You can also complain to your data protection authority. To use these rights, open a support ticket.
Changes
We may update this policy, and will show the latest version on this page.
